You may have noticed that I post many quotes from the manga/anime series Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima. There are many reasons why I have enjoyed this series; here are a few.
- There's magic. Lots of magic. Not like poof-poof-abracadabra, but it is actually magic more based on martial arts and the like.
- The characters are so very well developed and each is very distinct.
- There are well-defined and interesting plot arcs that engage the reader/watcher and are suspenseful.
- It is neither "shoujo" nor too much "shounen" but a perfect balance between the two.
- Fairy Tail is filled with excellent humor that makes the reader laugh out loud every time.
- Between all the humor and fighting, there are actually valuable lessons and insights about friendship, emotions, and the like.
- There are many more reasons to like Fairy Tail that I haven't listed.
Even though some parts are inappropriate, the other factors make it a very fun and involving series for the readers and watchers. Many fans of the series both love and hate the author Mashima at the same time. They love him because they're so into the series and the characters are so real to them, but they hate him because sometimes he causes the characters to be hurt in outrageous ways.
Oh,well, that's all I have to say for now. Besides that this is the only anime I've personally watched so far.
